Connecting Israeli Travelers with Finland’s Tourism Ecosystem

A black-timber design villa standing in snow-laden pines at Levi, a kilometre and a bit from the slopes and twelve kilometres from Kittilä airport. Inside it is all pale Nordic wood, floor-to-ceiling windows onto the forest, and a wood-burning fireplace — 235 square metres, six bedrooms, room for twelve. You rent the whole house, not a room in it, which makes it a natural fit for a family or two families travelling together. There is a private sauna, an outdoor hot tub in the snow, a home cinema, and a full kitchen if you would rather cook than book a table every night.

What is inside

• Six bedrooms, twelve beds. Two full bathrooms and three separate WCs, so twelve people are not queueing.
• An open living and dining space with a wood-burning fireplace and windows the full height of the wall onto the forest.
• A private sauna and an outdoor hot tub on the terrace — both yours alone, no booking slot, no sharing.
• A home cinema room with streaming services, and a smart TV and sound system in the lounge. Useful when it is dark by two in the afternoon.
• A full kitchen and a dining table for the whole party. You can self-cater the entire stay if you want to.
• Air conditioning, soundproofing, fast wi-fi and a private separate entrance.

Where it sits

• Ski slope — 1.3 km. Cross-country track — 1 km.
• Restaurants and the grocery store — about 1.3–1.4 km.
• Levi centre — about 5 km, so the village itself is a ski bus ride or a short drive rather than a walk.
• Kittilä airport — 12 km. Direct flights from Helsinki, and seasonal charters from further afield.
• Spa — 3.6 km. Golf — 8.5 km, for the summer half of the year.

What is included, what costs extra

• Included: final cleaning, cotton-silk bed linen and towels, use of the hot tub and sauna, wi-fi and the entertainment systems — and two ski lift passes.
• Optional: a private chef. They will do breakfasts, or cater the whole stay to a menu agreed with you in advance. Ask at the sales address for what that costs.

Worth knowing before you write

• Levi is properly north. Well inside the aurora belt, so northern lights nights here are a plan rather than a fluke — and you can watch from the terrace or the hot tub without booking a tour. Our Northern Lights page has the season and the odds.
• Kosher and Shabbat are easier here than in a hotel. A private villa with its own full kitchen means you control what happens in it, and nobody needs to be asked about Friday night. Confirm the practical details with them, but the setup is in your favour.
• Twelve is the number. Priced per stay for the whole house, so it works out best when you fill it — two families, or a group of friends. For two people it is a lot of villa.
• Book the December–January weeks early. Levi is the busiest resort in Finnish Lapland and the good villas go months ahead.
